Recovery Program

Recovery Program LogoThe Haven’s Recovery Services include a residential recovery program based on a model that has 40-plus years of data and expertise in helping people achieve long-term sobriety from addiction through peer-based services, community, service, and intense participation in mutual aid groups (12 Step fellowships).

The following is a brief overview of the program and is subject to change as the needs and the organization respond accordingly.

Long-term Recovery Program

Phase 1 – Inspiration & Commitment Track: The Haven utilizes a program known as Recovery Dynamics® and Phase 1 includes participating in classes and 12 Step-based recovery meetings in exchange for a guaranteed bed and a place to store personal belongings. Phase 1 allows participants to explore whether they want and are ready to commit to The Haven’s Long-term Recovery Program.

Phase 2 – Recovery Track I: Participants in this track have made a commitment to the Recovery Program. They are responsible for the daily operations of the campus, are engaged in peer accountability, and focused on completing the Recovery Dynamics® sessions. Participants also complete job readiness and life skills classes taught by Wake Technical Community College.

Phase 3 – Recovery Track II: Participants focus on obtaining employment and recovery-supportive housing as they establish a plan for transitioning into the community.

Phase 4 – Alumni Status – Alumni return to The Haven – to visit, serve and participate in others’ healing journeys. They will teach classes, visit current participants, provide peer support and modeling of long-term recovery, as well as be able to access additional resources and support for themselves.
